Always wanted a pair of socks like these – glad I got them on a deal instead of originally $5.80!

I was looking for a skirt in this colour and I like the sueded feel of this one.

Got this dress for my winter formal dance! From Dynamite, for $39.90. Got a discount though because I’m a Virgin Mobile member – gotta love deals.

Red Infinity Scarf – Giant Tiger $9

Definitely going to wear these two together.

Burgundy cardigan – Dynamite $17 on sale

Possibly obsessed with burgundy for fall/winter. Got this a while back, but never put it  in a post.

random hauling

Here’s some of the things I’ve bought in the past month or so that don’t really have any relation!

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Color in 280 Marine Scene

I was browsing in the beauty section of Walmart and saw a shelf of this line of nail polishes for only $2.77. I couldn’t resist. It’s more of a  pretty teal colour in real life. Will be wearing it on my nails next week.

Found this with a friend at a 50% off day at our local thrift store. It was in decent condition and was only $2.50!

Where Things Come Back – John Corey Whaley

172 Hours on the Moon – Johan Harstad

I love reading and haven’t bought any new books in a long time, so I decided to treat myself. Read good reviews on both books on Goodreads and I am excited to start them soon (hopefully on a day where I have little homework, if that ever happens).

I decided to include some music I have acquired recently as well. My friend bought the new Arctic Monkey’s album AM and shared it with me (thank you thank you) The album is amazing. I also bought The Killer’s new single “Shot At The Night” from their upcoming “best of collection” album. The song is produced by M83 and sounds great. Also been listening to the 1975’s debut album and loving it!

And that’s it for this short blog post. An outfit and styling post coming soon.

august (back to school) collective haul

I’ve already done quite a bit of shopping in Toronto and Ottawa, but I decided to pick up a few more things for back to school when I went away to Montreal. My mom also just came back from NYC a couple days ago and bought some clothing for me there as well! Thanks mom.

Here they are!

ImageCropped hooded denim vest from LiME (brand: Last Kiss) – $25

Osheaga tee – $35

Polka dot button up – $12.99

Stay Weird muscle tee – $18

I was especially happy when I found the Stay Weird top at Brandy Melville. I think it’s really cool and the store at Yorkdale Mall in Toronto didn’t have it. The Brandy store on St. Catherines had much more selection than Yorkdale – I was impressed. I debated on buying a skirt from there, but I couldn’t justify $30 for OK quality material. ImageImage

I love this shirt. I tend to have a preppy side to my style and I’ve been looking for some classic button ups (which I don’t have to spend a ton of money on, aka Abercrombie) I love wearing navy, which I have a habit of buying all my clothes in.

And here is my beloved hooded denim vest I mentioned in a past post! I’ve been looking for one for the past couple months and finally found one I liked for the right price and quality.

ImageLove the back of the shirt!

Probably my favourite shirt from this haul. :) It was $35 which was quite expensive, but it’s a festival. Things are going to be overpriced. I was pleasantly surprised when I found that the tshirt was American Apparel. At least the quality is there!

Now on to the stuff my mother picked up in New York. I only asked her to pick up a I Heart NY shirt (no pic…but it looks like all the others) and Celia Birtwell Shorts from UniqloThey are patterned, high waisted flowy shorts that look like a skirt when they are on. I bought a pair back in NYC during March Break and loved them. I had originally wanted them in the black and white floral pattern, but there were none left. I was happy with the one she did get me though.

NHL Goalie mask tee – ?

Aritzia TNA leggings – around $20

Uniqlo Celia Birtwell shorts in Gray floral – $19.90

I was only expecting the shorts and NY shirt, but she surprised me with a cool NHL tshirt and TNA leggings. Now I can say I own something from Aritzia…haha. Some of their stuff is really cute, but the prices, not so much.

I think this shirt is an exclusive to the New York City NHL Store since the tag inside read “Reebok New York City” The tshirt is awesome. I’ll definitely be wearing it during the season. Anyone who knows me knows I am a Leafs fan. No shame!

Hope you enjoyed seeing this haul of my new clothing. I will definitely be taking a break on the shopping for a while! Look out for lots of OOTDs (or even OOTWs) with these pieces once school starts!

*New post tomorrow*

july collective haul

I have been saving my money for a while for my summer trips. I really wanted to shop online a lot, but I’m glad I resisted. Bought this stuff on separate occasions…on my Southern Ontario trip and a shopping trip I went on recently to Ottawa. Just wanted to share some of the clothing I bought for back to school.

H&M Black Jeans by “Divided” – $24.95

Zara Equestrian-like Pants – $29.99

Campus Crew White Denim Cutoffs – $12.99

I love the Zara pants. In real life they are more of a green-khaki colour. I also love the leather detailing on the belt loops! I think they were originally $50-$60, so I’m happy they were on sale. I’m also happy with the shorts too – they were originally $34.99. If you’re ever near a Campus Crew, check out their sale items. They have a lot of good deals.

Zara Pullover – $15.99

Trendyland Brand Crop Top (Brandy Melville Knockoff) – $12.99

Abercrombie Kids “Haven” Top – $32.50 (now on sale for $22)

Aerie Lace Bandeau – $12.95

I was excited when I found the knockoff Brandy shirt at Winners. Although the make of the shirt is not as soft as the Brandy cotton, I won’t complain for 12.99 and proper sizing (Brandy Melville is one size fits all). Especially happy with the Abercrombie Kids purchase as well (yes, I still fit their “kid” sizes, but in XL, #shortpeopleproblems) because I’ve been looking for more preppy tops, although I find that A&F is changing their style. I got the white bandeau from Aerie to wear underneath since the back is lace.

I bought this “Party Cam” for $14.00 from Urban Outfitters. It’s disposable and it puts different prints on your photos. I thought it was really cool and I bought it to bring to the Osheaga music festival in Montreal my friend and I are going to this Friday through Sunday. So excited! I am pumped to see Two Door Cinema Club, Imagine Dragons, and others. 3 days, 14 hours, and 41 minutes!
