Zara Draped Cardigan
You always need a black cardigan…they go with everything!
Simon’s Crew Neck Sweatshirt
Crew neck sweatshirts are easy to pair with coloured pants or with a collared shirt underneath.
American Eagle Loop Scarf
Scarves are just an essential for fall!
Zara V-neck Tshirt
Great to wear with colourful scarves like the one above!
American Eagle Skinny Trouser
I just love coloured pants. Need a pair in this colour.
A&F Maya Flannel Shirt
Flannels…another given fall essential. Great under crew necks as I said before.
Zara Leather Biker Boot
Boots! I love mid-calf boots.
Urban Outfitters BDG Scoopneck
You definitely need a staple graphic tee for layering.

Scarf: Zellers (out of business)

Here’s some of the things I’ve bought in the past month or so that don’t really have any relation!
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Color in 280 Marine Scene
I was browsing in the beauty section of Walmart and saw a shelf of this line of nail polishes for only $2.77. I couldn’t resist. It’s more of a pretty teal colour in real life. Will be wearing it on my nails next week.
Found this with a friend at a 50% off day at our local thrift store. It was in decent condition and was only $2.50!
Where Things Come Back – John Corey Whaley
172 Hours on the Moon – Johan Harstad
I love reading and haven’t bought any new books in a long time, so I decided to treat myself. Read good reviews on both books on Goodreads and I am excited to start them soon (hopefully on a day where I have little homework, if that ever happens).
I decided to include some music I have acquired recently as well. My friend bought the new Arctic Monkey’s album AM and shared it with me (thank you thank you) The album is amazing. I also bought The Killer’s new single “Shot At The Night” from their upcoming “best of collection” album. The song is produced by M83 and sounds great. Also been listening to the 1975’s debut album and loving it!
And that’s it for this short blog post. An outfit and styling post coming soon.
My “flannel friday” outfit.
Flannel – Abercrombie & Fitch
Necklace: Tiffany & Co.
My school also held a dance yesterday – a MuchMusic Video Dance (Kind of like MTV, but Canadian) We’ve hired them for the past two years after winning one of their dances three years ago. They set up video screens and play music videos and have a bunch of lights. It’s pretty cool! I wore the Uniqlo shorts my mom got me from NYC and a navy V-neck from A&F along with my Tiffany necklace.
Don’t mind my sister’s Strawberry Shortcake mat…haha.
I apologize for the lack of posts again. School has been busy (obviously). Going to try to put up two posts next week!
Here are the outfits I wore for the first week back to school!

I know I was supposed to post this yesterday, but I’ve come down with a cold (already!) and wasn’t feeling the best yesterday. Still don’t feel 100% and have been watching Glastonbury sets on YouTube beside a box of Kleenex pretty much all day. I hope I feel better tomorrow!
My last weekend before school was spent with my younger cousins and other family. Too bad my grandma’s house had no Internet! (Sorry for being MIA) I only get to see my younger cousins once a year since they live in Bermuda! They surprised my sister and I with some gifts when we arrived (a shirt and jewelry set from Rome and an iTunes card!) I loved everything. From Friday through Sunday we went to the park, watched a Scooby Doo marathon, went rock climbing, and went to the bookstore. It was nice to see them again, but it made me realize how difficult/tiring it is to take care of children (they are 7 and 4 and adorable) My sister and I were exhausted by the end of each day. We ended the weekend with dinner at a Chinese restaurant with my cousins, aunt, parents, etc. I will miss them!
The rock climbing place was so cool. Thanks to my aunt for inviting us.
My sis and cousin climbing.
The rock climbing place looked awesome, but I wasn’t able to participate because of my sprained ankle (A girl kicked it during a soccer tourney) I was disappointed, but it was fun to watch.
At the Chinese restaurant.
Overall, it was a good weekend seeing my family. It made the weekend go by quickly and helped me to think less of the approaching first day back to school. Now it’s Labour Day and I will be at school in less than 24 hours. Dreading! I have been waking up around 8:30-9 most of this month (or trying to). Don’t know how I will stand waking up at 6:30 tomorrow. Help!
This week will definitely be busy. I will try to post about my first day, but if not, expect an OOTW post on Friday. For those starting school tomorrow too, good luck!
